Kerrang! #1208

Digital Versatile Doom review
Their first foray into live recordings, this DVD and audio package captures the Finnish legends at their funereal best, performing such
dark delicacies as Wings Of A Butterfly and Funeral of Hearts, Never the most lively band onstage, their charisma and ear for a tune still
makes each show a black magic carpet ride, to quote Ville Valo, the alarmingly pallid subject of a 45-minute interview here. Elsewhere, there's a 12-minute
clip of excitable competition winners declaring their love for the enigmatic frontman, but for the sane it will be the flow and surge of HIM's
music that makes this double-disc showcase a worthy purchase.
EXTRAS: Interviews, fun footage.
